About Aryan Roopa Anand

Aryan Roopa Anand was born on 21st December 2001. His father Mr. Anand Kumar, works with a leading telecom service provider and his mother Roopa is a home maker.

Aryan started playing Golf from the age of 8. He started playing Golf after watching his father play the sport. He did try his hand in tennis but Golf was where his heart was. He started playing Golf at JWGC, Mysore and won the first junior tournament he played, which was the key motivator for him to start perusing golf more seriously.

After moving out of Mysore and shifting to Bangalore, he started playing at KGA, Bangalore. He started winning most of the South Zone Junior Golf tournaments. Tarun Sardesai used to watch him practise at KGA and felt that he needs proper training and guidance, since then Aryan has been under Tarun’s mentoring.

In 2017 Aryan became a full time residential student at the TSG Academy.

International Performance

Aryan represented India and was part of the 6 man squad for the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship

Won the Faldo National qualifier (under 18) and made it to the Asia Grand Finals Faldo Series at Vietnam.

1^st in Singapore Junior Golf Championship

4^th in AM Bank International Junior Championship (Malaysia - 2014)

5^th in US Kid's World Championship (Malaysia - 2014)

2023

Aryan won the PGTI Q School Final Stage held at Tollygunge Golf Club to earn his pro card.
Aryan finished 10th in his debut pro start at PGTI Players Championship held at the Tollygunge Golf Club.
Aryan finished solo second at the PGTI Gujarat Open held at Kalhaar Blues and Greens in only his second start as a pro.

2022

Aryan finished T-2nd at the IGU NCR Open held at DGC, Delhi.
Aryan finished 4th at the IGU Bio Gen Rotary Southern India Amateur held at KGA, Bangalore.
Aryan won the prestigious IGU Eastern India Match Play Championship held at RCGC, Kolkata.
Aryan finished T-6th at the IGU Samarvir Sahi Amateur Championship held at CGC, Chandigarh.
Aryan finished T-6th at the IGU Maharashtra Amateur Championship held at PCGC, Pune.
Aryan finished T-2nd at the IGU Western India Amateur Championship held at BPGC, Mumabi. He shot a blistering final round 61 to make a late surge.
Aryan won the IGU Northern India Amateur Championship held at Rambagh Golf Club, Jaipur.

Aryan won the 119 All India Amateur Championship
Aryan finished 2nd runner up in the All India junior boys and girls, Jaypee greens. Greater Noida
Aryan finished 2nd runner up in Northern India Juniors Golf Championship held in Panchkula, Chandigarh (25th Nov - 29th Nov)
Aryan wins his maiden Amateur Golf Tournament held in Kalhaar Blues and Greens, Ahmedabad
Aryan finished 2nd runner up in IGU Western India Junior Championship (4th - 8th Nov.) held in Kalhaar blues and greens golf course.
Aryan finished 2nd in IGU Eastern India Junior Golf Championship held in Tollygung golf club from 21 October to 25th October.
Aryan is ranked #2, in the IGU Order of Merit for the year 2018-2019.
Aryan won his first International event in Singapore (Singapore Junior Championship), with score of 222 (74,70,78). This win by an Indian comes after 19 years, the last Indian who won this coveted event was in 2000. Aryan was also the Gross Winner for the scored day. Aryan also helped team India win the team event.
Aryan secured a 2nd place in Eagleton Golf Resort, Bangalore in the Karnataka Junior Chamionship with a score of 291(72, 72,75 & 72).
Aryan finished 2nd runner up in Clover Greens, Bangalore in the Southern India Junior Championship with the score of 276 (67,71,71 & 67).
Aryan finished 10th position in Karnataka Amateur Golf Championship held at Eagleton Golf Resort, Bangalore.
Aryan finished T4th in South India Amateur held at Clover Greens Golf, Bangalore with a score of 278 (64, 73, 70 & 71)
Aryan secured 2nd place in Maharashtra Junior Golf Championship held at Pune
Aryan won the Sir Nick Faldo Golf series and qualified to represent India in the Asian Finals held at Vietnam. He finished 5th at this event.

2018

Played his first PGTI tournament as an Amateur and was the only amateur to make the cut and finished the tournament at T42.
Aryan was ranked #2, in the IGU Order of Merit for the year 2018
Aryan secured 3rd place in Panchakula Golf Club, Haryana Junior Golf Championship.
Aryan finished 2nd place in Uttar Pradesh Junior Golf Championship, held at Noida Golf Club.
Aryan finished T 3rd in Southern India Junior Golf Championship held at Clover Green Golf Club.
